Dal'i, the layed back city

Since english is the first language for traveleres, and also for our non spanish speakers friends, I think it is quite fair to write at least une article in this world wide lenguage. Sorry for the mistakes I'll probably make.

Dali is a really beautiful city, not as turistic as Lijang, but also with its Old City full of shops and people. The old area seems to be actually old, so more authentic and real than Lijang's. We have seen quite a lot of foreigners, occidental people, and, of course, plenty of chinese turism.
The hostel we stayed at, Friends Guest House, is a nice place, actually really...friendly. The city is fast to see, we rented a pair of bikes and saw it all in one day, visiting the little places out of the Down Town (center). We also rode around the countryside, which is a lot more tropical than the places we have visited by now.

The Old City has a few streets full of bars to drink and eat, but, as usually, we went out of the expensive circuit to the popular area, and had some cheap and cool beers and a few sticks each. It is a perfect place to hung out and rest after buses, trains and long trips overland, but, since we weren't tired at all, a few days were more than enough to spend in this city, surrounded by a huge and gorgeus lake.
